Michigan State University basketball legends will be in attendance as the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort kicks off sports betting for Monday’s NCAA National Championship game.
The bookmaker will be inside Ascend, the casino’s sports bar that’s popular with patrons for its fine pub food, wide selection of craft beers, specialty cocktails, ample seating and big-screen TVs.
“Ascend Sportsbook is the place to be,” said Kristina Griffus, Director of iGaming and Sportsbook Operations.
“It’s a great place to watch a game and it really has all the elements that make a great sportsbook. It’s an energetic game day atmosphere, lots of TVs and you can’t beat the food and the drinks.
The grand opening begins at 4 p.m. with remarks from leaders of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe as well as leaders from Soaring Eagle.
Morris Peterson, Mateen Cleaves and other members of Michigan State’s 2000 NCAA Championship team will be on hand to provide analysis of this year’s championship game.
Food and drink specials will be presented and guests will be able to watch and bet on the game.
The sportsbook is part of Soaring Eagle’s national business in sports betting and iGaming, which will include the Eagle Casino & Sports mobile platform coming later this spring.
“We have taken considerable time to ensure that we have a customer-centric offering with a focus on real relationship building bets. Everyone here is very excited and ready to not only meet but exceed all your gaming experiences,” said Melinda Coffin, CEO.
