Join virtual sessions on protecting children and young people online

Children and families

November 14, 2022

Parents and guardians homeschooling children are invited to participate in virtual sessions aimed at helping young people stay safe online.

Our school attendance support service offers sessions to parents and guardians on protecting children and young people online.

The sessions are aimed at parents and guardians who are homeschooling their children and want to learn more about how to help them be safe and responsible online.

Each hour-long interactive session is led by our Online Safety and Wellbeing Manager, Simon Aston, and will explore where children and young people are going online, from games to social media.

It will delve deeper into mental health, resilience, how children can be supported through the transition from primary to secondary education, and building healthy relationships, both online and offline.

The session is designed to help children manage online risks, without blocking or removing devices from children and young people.
