Notable stats, college performance
While Pickett’s career stats are impressive, his final season at Pitt is the one you’ll hear the most about. Before this season, he had totaled 39 touchdown passes and 25 interceptions. In his senior year, it all seemed to click together for Pickett as he threw for 42 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. He has jamming ability, but he’s going to be known as a pocket passer in the NFL.
His best game of the past year came on Sept. 25 against New Hampshire when he threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ended up rushing in a touchdown for a total of six on the day. During a five-game streak between October 23 and November 20, Pickett passed for at least 300 passing yards and two touchdowns in each game.
