Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has released a new miniature position sensor with a small outer diameter of 12.7mm that provides greater accuracy and resolution than competing devices of the same size while providing increased reliability and durability for harsh operating environments of military and industrial applications. The Vishay MCB RAME012 Rotary Absolute Magnetic Encoder uses advanced non-contact technology to achieve >11-bit accuracy and 14-bit resolution while maintaining its robustness against external magnetic fields, air pollution, mechanical shock, vibration and temperature changes. The device has a convenient 360 degree electrical angle and operates over a temperature range of -40C to +105C.
