In a match that was dominated by KKR bowlers and fifty-fight Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jackson’s lightning-fast glove work captured everyone’s attention. Playing his first IPL game after a long five-year hiatus, Jackson first pulled off Robin Uthappa with his lightning-fast hand-eye coordination.
Anticipating the ball going down Varun Chakravarthy’s leg, Jackson made the most of Uthappa’s exit from the crease for a while and pulled the bails in a flash before he could back into the crease in the eighth round of CSK’s innings.
His brilliant work on the pitch was quickly spotted by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar who tweeted: “That was an outstanding stump. @ShelJackson27’s speed reminded me of @msdhoni. Swift like lightning !! #CSKvKKR. »

He was in action again, this time with the MS Dhoni in the 15th slot. The former CSK skipper was beaten by a Sunil Narine dinghy and Jackson did a sharp job behind the stumps. Replays showed Dhoni had his foot down.

“He (MS Dhoni) has always been my inspiration. I’ve always admired him and whatever he does, I just try to emulate him and I have a lot to watch and a lot to learn from him. I learned a lot (playing the helicopter shot) and I learned a lot from him (MSD) actually,” said Jackson, who went undefeated in three.
Jackson, who has only played four IPL matches before Saturday’s encounter – all in 2017 for KKR – was also warned by former India allrounder Yuvraj Singh not to wear a helmet while standing against a spinner.
Dear #SheldonJackson please wear a helmet when keeping the spinners! You are a very talented player and have a golden opportunity after a long time be safe!!! And all the best #CSKvKKR #IPL2022
