Today, Soft Robotics Inc. announced that it will introduce mGripAI for the first time on stand C-10866 at the International Production & Processing Expo (ECI), Jan. 25-27, 2022, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. CHL Systems, a leader in process automation and design engineering, will also present mGripAI at booth C-11449.
mGripAI unlocks automation for the food industry by enabling industrial robots to tackle complex food processing tasks traditionally done with labor. By combining 3D vision, artificial intelligence and Soft Robotics’ industry-proven soft grip, rated IP69K, mGripAI provides industrial robots with the hand-eye coordination of human workers.
“The protein industry has been hardest hit by labor shortages and the pandemic has made it even harder for food processors to meet demand,” said Mark Chiappetta, chief operating officer. at Soft Robotics Inc.”mGripAI enables robots to handle challenging bulk protein handling applications and we are excited to introduce this breakthrough technology, for the first time, to the world’s largest protein processors. »
mAdvantages of GripAI:
- Reduced reliance on unavailable human labor
- Flow increase
- Reduced maintenance costs
- Safer products
- Reduction of food waste
“mGripAI opens up a host of new opportunities for CHL customers to address the challenges facing the industry,” said Bryan Stout, CHL’s Director of Sales. “Our ability to implement or improve their robotic systems using artificial intelligence is a game-changer. This allows us to deliver advanced functionality by using better object tracking to move and place products, delivering results that were previously unachievable.”
Soft Robotics’ flagship flexible gripper, mGrip™ will also be presented during IPPE in partner stands; CHL Systems, Ensight Solutions, Fanuc, Harpak-Ulma, JLS Automation, Quest and Staubli Robotics.
