The final season of the Great British Bake Off is officially in full swing.
We’ve seen cake week and cookie week, and as bread week approaches, we thought we’d take a look at one of the Londoners who hit week three.
George Aristidou comes from a tight-knit Greek Cypriot family who all share his love of food, especially shown by the fact that it was his mother who taught him how to cook.

Married to his childhood sweetheart, George, 34, and his wife share three children and many pets, including a Japanese Spitz called Eli.
While George doesn’t go into much detail about the type of pets he has, he called them his “miniature zoo,” which sounds intriguing to say the least.
He loves making lots of classic Greek recipes, which he shares on his Instagram page, and he’s now teaching his three kids to cook too.
He often likes to include local herbs in his pastries and gives them a Mediterranean touch.
George described his baking style as embodying a “shabby-chic, vintage vibe”, but nonetheless strives for perfection in everything he creates.
A lover of the great outdoors, when he is not in the kitchen, George finds himself gardening, taking bike rides and family walks.
It’s not long before the Bake Off contestants tackle this week’s bread-themed challenges, we’ll have to wait and see how George does!
